  Vicky Kaushal and Akshaye Khanna's recently released film, Chhaava, a period drama on the life of legendary Maratha King   Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj , has been announced tax-free in Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced the news at an event and shared the video on his official X page. Chhaava, directed by Laxman Utekar, has been running successfully in theatres.   Chhaava Box Office Collection Day 5:   Vicky Kaushal   and  Rashmika Mandanna ‘s historical drama Chhaava is emerging as a huge hit at the box office. The film’s trajectory at the box office kickstarted on a phenomenal note, as it passed the Rs 100 crore mark during its opening weekend itself.   Actor Vicky Kaushal's period drama opened on a strong note at the box office. Despite receiving mixed reviews, the Laxman Utekar directorial has achieved the biggest opening of 2025. Additionally, the film has also become the biggest opener for Vicky to date. As per early estimates,  Chhaava performed strongly on its opening day , earning approximately Rs 31 crore (nett) across all languages. The film had an overall 35.17 per cent occupancy in Hindi on Day 1. The film proved to be the best opener for Vicky and Indian films in 2025.
