This Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan costar to pair opposite Mahesh Babu in SS Rajamouli's jungle-adventure

 After delivering universal blockbusters like Baahubali, Baahubali 2 and RRR, SS Rajamouli has collaborated with Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu for his next, which is a jungle adventure set in Africa and tentatively titled SSMB 29. While every update has turned out to be a trending topic for this biggie, as per reports, the makers have now finalized the lead actress and she is not just a national star but a global icon.



Yes, the versatile and talented Priyanka Chopra has been roped in to play the lead actress in this untitled biggie. “The film is in the final stages of writing, and is all set to go on floors in April 2025. SS Rajamouli was looking for a female lead with global presence, and who better than Priyanka to play the lead role. The filmmaker had multiple meetings with PC over the last 6 months, and the energies have aligned for both the stakeholders,” said a source .

“Priyanka Chopra is excited to collaborate with a maverick like SS Rajamouli and partner with Mahesh Babu to create an adventure like never before. It’s an unchartered territory for her as well, and the character has scope for a lot of action along with the leading man – Mahesh Babu. It’s a well crafted role, and Priyanka has already started her prep for the film,” added the source.

Priyanka will make a comeback in Indian film after six long years as she was last seen in The Sky Is Pink, which also featured Farhan Akhtar, Zaira Wasim and Rohit Saraf in prominent roles. PeeCee co-produced the movie under her banner Purple Pebble Pictures.

The film is expected to go on floors in April 2025 and end its shoot by the end of 2026. The makers are targeting to release the movie in 2027. It will be shot in studios in the USA, India, and African forests.
