Why kashmir is called heaven on earth ?

 



Before Kashmir became a valley it was a huge lake known as the Karewa Lake. The valley lies between the Karakoram Range and the Pir Panjal formed when the lake was drained during tectonic shift. It acquired the name of paradise on earth because of its uncanny resemblance with the garden of Eden described in religious and folk texts. The abundance in nature and natural resources make Kashmir the muse of multiple historical references in literature and memoirs.

1. Srinagar: 

Srinagar, a peaceful city in Kashmir, is a widely recognized tourist destination. Known for its gorgeous Mughal gardens, where you can dedicate a morning taking in acres upon acres of colorful blooms. After eating a traditional Kashmiri meal, ride a Shikara at Nehru Park. 2. Sonamarg :

6. Jammu: 

Actually, one of the most well-known locations in the Kashmir region is the city of Jammu. 7. Shalimar Garden:

9. Amarnath :

10. Hemis :

11. Pulwama : 

This charming village in Jammu and Kashmir, known for being the “Rice Bowl of Kashmir,” is a wonderful spot to take in the real beauty of the environment. This location, which is 40 kilometers away from Srinagar, offers a lot of tourist attractions for first-time visitors to check out. This multicolored city has great weather, a lovely scent from saffron fields, and kind residents. The Mughal ruler Jahangir

After visiting Kashmir, the Mughal ruler Jahangir said, “Gar firdaus, ruhe zamin ast, hamin asto, hamin asto, hamin ast” which translates to "If there is ever a heaven on earth, it's here, it's here, it's here". This quote is now the state's tourism signature line.
